preserve that special image forever with a commissioned painting.
Commissioned watercolors are always fun to do!
I can work from your photos or if you are local, I can take photos. I will have to see an image to know if I am willing to paint the subject. I do not do highly realistic paintings, so look through this gallery of past commissions before asking for a commissioned piece. Prices are based upon size, beginning with an 8 X 10 at $120. This price includes an acid free mat and a protective sleeve; it does not include the cost of shipping, or tax if you are within the state of Florida.
In most cases, I require one-third of the agreed upon price as a deposit for a preliminary sketch and to begin the project. When I feel the painting is far enough along to be shared, I send a work-in-progress photo. At this point, small changes can be made and the second payment is due. The final payment (1/3 + tax) is due upon completion and artwork will be shipped upon receipt. If you would rather pay half up front and half upon completion, that is fine as well.
Although each project is different, I typically complete a commission about three weeks once the contract and deposit are received.
